I lifeguarded for Laguna Beach from 1960 to 1974. In 2004 the lifeguards decided to hold a reunion of all the guards. It was the 75th anniversary. I volunteered to find all of the living guards who worked before 1975. When I found each guard I asked them to write me a story about their lifeguard experience. I collected about 200 stories.
